Cable wakeboarding will be in Chengdu for The World Games

We already have some information about cable wakeboarding appearing for the second time in history in The World Games after Duisburg in 2005. Of course, earning points by taking part in the IWWF registered events in 2024 will be even more crucial this year to have a chance and make it to this prestigious event that will take place from 7th to 17th August 2025 in Chengdu, China. But also here are more details about the conditions :

There will be a maximum of 2 x riders from any NOC in each gender, made up as follows :

  • IWWF World Cable Wakeboard Champion (1 Person)
  • WWF Confederation Champions (up to 3 Persons)

Top Riders from the IWWF World Cable Wakeboard Rankings List by following restrictions :

  • 3 of the Riders from Europe & Africa Region
  • 3 of the Riders from Asia & Oceania Region
  • 3 of the Riders from Pan American Region
  • 2 x riders from the host Country

This is based on 15 x Male and 15 x Female riders, if the number of participants is to drop, we
would propose that the split is as follows :

  • IWWF World Cable Wakeboard Champion (1 Person)
  • Confederation Champions (Up to 3)
  • 2 x Riders from the host Country

Then 1/3 of the balancing number of riders from Each Confederation based on the Top Riders from
the IWWF World Ranking List.

Be sure to win some points in IWWF events in 2024 in order to have a chance to go in Chengdu !
