World Class Cable athletes are back in China

Just a year later the World Games in Chengdu, top athletes were back in China to battle for the World Championships title in Beijing Wakepark to celebrate the anniversary of 2008 Olympic Games. More than 170 riders from 30 countries in wakeboard, wakeskate and seated disciplines gathered in Shunyi Olympic Cable Park.

Beijing previously hosted successful IWWF World Cup events in 2013 and 2014, and the return of elite-level competition highlights China’s continued commitment to the growth and development of cable wakeboarding and wakeskating. This commitment was further demonstrated by the inclusion of cable wakeboarding in The World Games 2025.
