We've been to Russia and visited the Cableway in Anapa, which will host the Cable Wakeboard World Championships this year. We met with several people and had a closer look at the cable. First of all, we want to give you some impressions & facts of Anapa...

Anapa is a town on the coast of the Black Sea and it is not far away from Krim.
Anapa is said to be one of the top touristic cities of Russia - more than 3 million tourists per season - 300 days of sun and 38km beach are the main features of the venue. It is one of the hottest plazes in Russia and sits right above the Black Sea, near Krim - Have a look at the map below, you can zoom in and have a closer look.

So, it is really nice down there and we had a lot of fun

We met the Major of Anapa, and talked with him and the cablepark owner about the upcoming World Championships. They are really eager to realise an awesome competition for everyone. It is a young cable with a strong basis and lots of potential. After this trip we truly believe that Anapa is the right choice for this years Championships and we will organize a great competition in cooperation with the City of Anapa and the Cableway.

The team of the Cableway is very enjoyable and they do nearly more than everything for their guests to have a great experience at their Cable.

The Cable itself is pretty remarkable, too. Not only runs it clockwise, but you can ride with the dolphins. No kidding, have a look for yourself...
