Prime minister Erdoğan opened the first wakeboard-park in Turkey

Prime minister Erdoğan and the mayor of Bursa Osmangazi Recep Altepe took part in the official opening ceremony.

The kick-off of a new sportive aera in Turkey is done.
Henceforth the country has got a new sport which is already loved by the public.
27 representatives of the Turkish and international press did not miss the chance to take part in the great staged event.  All of them don´t want to miss the announced performance of the invited rider.

Professional rider from Germany, Bulgaria and Denmark were invited to the happening to performe a spectacular show. Their breath-taking tricks and stunts impressed not only the spectators but also the representatives of the country and the city. They were speechless.

The athletes were the celebrated stars of the sport and the day.

The brand new cableway passed the test run with flying colours – now Bursa and the riders are looking forward to the Cable Wakeboard European Championships from the 17th -19th of october.

In less than 18 weeks two premieres will take place in Bursa at the same time.
On one hand it will be the first realization of a Wakeboard European Championship in Turkey and on the other hand the cableway will be used for a competition for the first time. Europe will look at Turkey.

The wakeboard-park is of high economical importance for Turkey. The funsport Cable Wakeboard is a real innovation and generates a great media interest and public attention. Bursa applies as a precursor but further cableways are planned to be build up by 2009 and 2010. Already the next opening will follow soon – Antalya will tie into the positive trend.
